You are always in transition. Think for a moment of how many life transitions you’ve experienced. Being born, starting school, starting high school or university, work, marriage, relationships ending, career changes, retirement; we go through many changes in life. Then there are the cultural changes; technology, healing breakthroughs, the arts, social media.
When enough of us change on a personal level our shift is out-pictured in cultural changes.
At this moment in time we are seeing a transition to more personal awareness and deeper connections. Nothing is hidden; the dark is rising up to be healed by the light.
Here are 19 signs you are going through a personal transition, and how your change may be contributing to the shift to a more positive world.
You may experience some of them, or even all of them.
1. You’re aware we’re merging into a new paradigm
You feel a shift happening in our global consciousness and you’re aware that what has been hidden for centuries is now rising to the surface for healing. You want to be part of that transition, and you naturally gravitate towards those who are also part of it. As the new paradigm continues to emerge through you, you have an impact on the cultural shift.
2. You’re a big picture thinker
You look at the whole picture of life rather than going down the rabbit hole of details. Yet you are able to see both the forest and the trees. You have a desire to use your particular strengths and talents to transition to a better world.
3. You’re an introvert
Sometimes the emotions of others can seem overwhelming. Being in a crowd may make you feel like running and finding a nice quiet space to be by yourself. Others see you as quiet but those who know you well recognize that still waters run deep. Though you may be an introvert, that doesn’t mean you’re shy or backward. It just means you get energy from within rather than from outside stimulation.
4. You go deep with life experiences
You look at your challenges, heartaches, and hard times as an opportunity to grow. On the other side of the tough experiences, you are often very grateful to have gone through them. You may find yourself having similar experiences and think, what, this again? But you are not going around in circles. You are spiraling deeper. There may be people benefiting from the fact that you’re creating a pathway for their life transition.
5. You are highly intuitive
You’re highly intuitive and often have flashes of insight. As a child you may have known things before they happened. If the adults around you validated your intuitive hits, you would have developed trust in your inner voice. If not, you may have shut it down, only to return to it in later years when it could no longer be silenced. You will discover that the more you trust your intuition, the more it will tell you and the more you can trust it.
6. You listen to your body’s messages
You understand the body’s ability for self healing, and have learned to listen when your body speaks to you. You have a natural approach to healing, and are mindful that your thoughts have a huge impact on your physical well-being. You notice the connection between what you experience emotionally or spiritually, and what happens in your physical body.
7. You often help others without requiring a direct return
You know the natural laws of giving and receiving and that they are constantly ebbing and flowing. The reward for helping another doesn’t have to come back directly from that person. You have direct evidence that Divine Order is always working in your life.
8. You may embody the wounded healer archetype
Someone who has face trauma in their life may find themselves drawn to a vocation that helps others who have faced the same trauma. As you heal from your trauma, you naturally feel drawn to provide spiritual sustenance to others like you.
9. You see or feel trends before they start
Being able to quickly and easily identify trends is one of your gifts. It may not seem like a gift because seeing trends in the world around you comes so naturally to you. There are two things to remember relevant to this attribute. First, if you think that anyone can do what you do, it’s not true, it’s easy for you because it’s a gift. Secondly, you may find others denying what you see trending, but recognize you have insight that others don’t because of your ability.
10. You feel you’re different from most people
You may have grown up feeling like you really belong on some other planet. You are unconventional, you don’t think like most people, and therefore you are not inclined to follow the crowd. Because you don’t want to stay on the surface of life, you may have felt like an outcast for much of it. But you may also have found that you’ve attracted a few special people who are kindred spirits and take a deeper approach to life.
11. You’re interested in healing techniques
Different spiritual healing techniques captivate you. You have learned mindfulness techniques, you’ve studied the chakra system, you meditate, you pray, you collect crystals, you do silent retreats. Whatever it is, it’s as much a part of your life as breathing.
12. You feel a strong connection with animals
Your connection with animals is strong. Seeing an animal hurt is painful for you and you might feel real anger towards hunters or anyone who doesn’t treat animals well. Animals may not be able to speak, but you know they communicate.
13. You don’t see the world in black and white
Your view of the world is more subjective than objective. Situations are nuanced rather than cut and dried. Instead of seeing things in black and white, you think in colour, like a 64 colour box of crayons instead of just 8 colours. This trait enables you to attain levels of understanding that others can’t, and you are energized by this way of being in the world.
14. You have vivid dreams
You may have vivid dreams and nightmares, and you remember a lot of your dreams, especially when you are experiencing some kind of critical life transition and need answers. You will often find answers in your dreams. You may even develop the ability for lucid dreaming where you are aware you’re dreaming and can direct the dream the way you want.
15. You are highly creative
If someone asks you what your most important values are, creativity will figure somewhere in your answer. What you enjoy most about the creative process – in whatever form it takes – is the sense of losing yourself in time. You can be so easily absorbed that several hours may go by before you are aware of the passing of time.

16. You listen with your entire being
You are a good listener, listening with the intent to hear what others are saying beyond their words. You stay in the moment and don’t jump ahead to what you’re going to say when the other person is finished their thought. You see listening as a gift you give to others.
17. Your relationships are changing
As you grow, you may find that your closest relationships undergo a major transition. If the relationship can’t withstand the work required to shift together, you may find the relationship ending. Some new relationships are born out of the need to grow and change. If this is happening, pay attention to your ability to walk into a room and know in the first five minutes who in that room is going to be important to you.
18. Nature is your sustenance
You feel most at home surrounded by nature. Whether it be walking in the woods, meditating in the sun, reading by the ocean, your time in nature renews and rejuvenates you. It’s a necessary part of your life, and you may have moved to a new home for the sole (and soul) purpose of being closer to nature.
19. You are a leader
Despite your tendency to be quiet and spend time alone, you have a natural ability to lead, and find that people often look to you to take on a leadership role. You don’t do things half way. Once you commit as a leader, you give your all.
